Reading War Hospital No.2 (Battle School) Reading. 1915-1920

Readings workhouse and Infirmary was taken over as a Hospital in 1915 and became No.1 Reading war hospital. Miss Isobel G. Willets RRC was the Matron for the first year from 29 March 1915.  The wounded came from Yvpres and as the numbers increased, three local schools were used.
